На Стиме сейчас пятидневная распродажа всякого. В индивидуальных играх ничего интересного я не заметил (все примечательное оттуда у меня без того есть, а демка Osmos не работает под семеркой), а вот в бандлах есть набор от THQ из тринадцати игр за 49 долларов. По отдельности они стоят почти 400, так что хорошая сделка, на мой взгляд. Жаль, что механизм extra copies к этому бандлу не применим, а то у меня из него половина игр уже имеется. Впрочем, они раз в сутки наборы меняют, так что может и будет еще что-то интересное по отдельности. . |

Теперь надо, чтобы Starcraft 2, God of War III и Dragon Age: Origins продались тиражом в пять триллионов экземпляров каждая и классические игры можно считать спасенными. . |

2:23p | Gravity Crash
Gravity Crash для PS3 хороший. Это Geometry Wars, но не на аренах, а на полноценных уровнях, со скалами, турелями, водой, лавой и заданиями. Очень похоже на невышедший еще PixelJunk Shooter. Самая прелесть – гравитация и инерционность управления. Столкновение с любым предметом приводит к повреждениям, а затормозить мгновенное нельзя, надо точно рассчитывать маршрут и прилагаемое ускорение. Плюс кроме воздуха можно играть под водой, там физика совершенно иная. Задачки разные – от сбора кристаллов и уничтожения определенного типа противников до спасения космонавтов. Есть еще боссы и несложные головоломки (в основном с кнопками, открывающими двери). В общем, такой очень качественный олдскул, мне нравится. P. S. Там еще редактор уровней есть, но я его пока не смотрел. . |

9:33a | Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive Interesting movie just showed up on Syfy as I was flipping channels, called Stay Alive. Wikipedia says it was a fairly big budget 2006 summer movie, but I don't remember it at all. Mostly caught my attention because soon-to-be-dead victim mentioned Fatal Frame in the opening scene. Interesting! Fatal Frame isn't that well known of a survival horror game. Certainly not compared to Silent Hill (which is apparently also mentioned later in the movie, but I wasn't interested in watching further), and definitely not well known compared to Resident Evil. I'm curious on whether the other more obscure games of the genre are mentioned, like Alone in the Dark, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem or Clock Tower. The movie didn't really seems all that interesting though, and the one who would've really been interested is already asleep. Oh well! Frankie Muniz is also one of the game players slash victims in this movie as well. He wore the most ridiculous outfit, a huge baggy white t-shirt with loose shorts and an upside down blue transparent plastic visor. I don't know if he knows, but that hasn't been in fashion for years. Unless you're a rapper, and he ain't no Eminem! Current Mood:  amused |
