THAILAND WORRIED ABOUT ONLINE GAME ADDICTION
Is the Evercrack syndrome spreading to the Far East?
Officials in Thailand view online game addiction as one of the Top Four problems facing youth in that country, according to a report in the Bangkok Post.
At a recent seminar sponsored by Microsoft Thailand and the Institute of Child Health, Dr Suriyadeo Tripathi reported that young Thais face four major challenges: excessive consumerism, aggressiveness, sexuality problems, and addiction (including addiction to online games, alcohol and cigarettes).
