Pics, Video From Jeb Bush Madden Event

As reported previously on GamePolitics, Florida Governor Jeb Bush visited Tiburon Studios in Orlando to help EA Sports celebrate the launch of Madden NFL 06.

The highlight of the event was a special video animation prepared by Tiburon's Madden development team. The clip cast Gov. Bush as a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, while big brother George W. played a defensive back for the Cowboys. We won't spoil the ending, but you can download the video and see for yourself.

Central Florida TV station Local 6 reported that Gov. Bush got in a plug for the type of business-friendly incentive programs that helped lure Tiburon to the Sunshine State.

"By and large, our incentive programs have been quite successful," Gov. Bush said. "These are jobs that average I believe $70,000 a year for programming of these games."

Commenting on the video, the Guv added, "I do not look like as buff as that receiver for the Miami Dolphins that I played there. I cannot tell you how much fun this is going to be to send this to Crawford, Texas. I'm sure my brother will like it - maybe not as much as me..."

Shouldn't he, uh, be in DC?

President Bush usually goes to his ranch in Crawford, Texas, for vacations. And it's usually when Congress goes on its Summer Recess, which is this month.

Ah, I knew Crawford was his preferred destination, but I didn't know it was summer recess. Thanks.

Well...yes.

But, you know, those 30-day vacations are important. Wish I could get one...

Yes, Bush really likes his vacations. In fact, I think I read or saw somewhere that he has taken the most vacations then any other president.

Yup, he accumulated the most vacation days for a president ever... within his first year.

I'm pretty sure it's a 5 week working vacation. I doubt he sits around and plays golf all day.

Presidents never really "vacation". I'm talking all of them, they are usually having meetings with foreign leaders (i.e. Blair, Fox), signing bills into law/going over new legislation, and going to events and charities. I'm not a Bush fan but most presidents never really vacation, they are just not in D.C... of course they do have spare time that they actually do play golf, make war, and watch tv.
